THE ADVOCATE" is hosted by Chicago's
own Vincent Gilbert
who is the former Small Business
Utility Advocate
for the State of Illinois. Vincent's
guest are
business people or community leaders
who are concerned
about business. This program
is very important to the
business community
of Illinois in that it takes its advocacy
to the air waves; by  bringing
the
CEO's of the various utility
companies on the show to
answer questions
that are
on the minds of all
small business
owners. That strategy
has been effective in getting relief
for the small
business community. Vincent
Gilbert was
trained as a lawyer at
the John Marshall Law School in
Chicago. Vincent
was a city commissioner under Chicago's
first Black
Mayor, The Honorable Harold Washington;
he
was the District Director
for Congressman Gus
Savage of
the second congressional
district of Illinois.
Ask the Advocate is not
currently in production but Vincent can be seen as a
regular contributor on W. L. Lillard's "Straight
Talk" which airs on Channel 25 at 10:30 pm Monday
through Friday.
